Conductor and Consumptive Materials 1500cm x 200cm x 500cm
The pencils are made of whole trees. The iron plate has been made into a giant coffin-shaped pencil sharpener in a rusty color. The sharpener can produce spiral pencil shavings. Some pencil shavings are piled carelessly at the corner of the wall as consumed objects. A continuous pencil shaving hangs in the exhibition hall, spiraling upward like a tornado with its soul ascending to heaven. The pencils are objects to be consumed while graphite is the best electrical conductor.
A copper wire extends out from the slot of the sharpener and is fastened to the tip of the first pencil; the other end of the wire is connected to the granite of the last pencil. A small bulb is connected to the middle of the wire, giving out dim light.
