在展厅北部的两根水泥柱子间绷一块白色幕布。幕布后设置灯光，各种物体的投影落在上面，形成一幅带有南京长江大桥的形象的奖状。这个投影奖状的某些部分是可运动的。
制造投影的区域从上到下横向分为三个部分，
二楼阳台栏杆以上的部分，主要从上面悬挂，用儿童服装扎成对称的红旗造型；五角星是镜片制成，由马达驱动缓慢回旋；此外，从上方悬挂下来玩具鸟和玩具飞机，回旋运动。三个光源安装在对面墙上。在幕布的上面三分之一部分制造投影。
阳台栏杆外侧墙面上安装六个光源。这部分制造投影的物体主要是一些带有木杆带提线，下面连着纸板剪成的文字。文字内容是来自奖状的常见的词汇，如“同志”、“学习”、“进步”、“成绩显著”、“斗争”、“表扬”……等，这些带着文字的木杆随意地卡在栏杆上。同时在栏杆前准备更多的词汇，并准备纸板和剪刀等工具让参与者现场剪出文字内容，观众移动这些木杆，像玩提线木偶一样，可以在幕布上组合出不同的句子。它们的投影出现在幕布的中部。
阳台之下的空间，靠近幕布的地方，出现了用不同的商品包装盒纸板拼贴而成的南京长江大桥造型，这个长江大桥造型的反面其实是一个书架，书架上可以存放各种物品，如玩具、小雕塑等。小型雕塑的投影落在幕布上，则成为长江大桥上的人的身影。靠近幕布的地面上是一排花盆，盆中栽种着齿轮、麦穗等奖状中的图案。后面的底座上放着四个盛水的金鱼缸，鱼缸中有活的金鱼和玩具青蛙、玩具船等在游动。
在对面的墙面布置4组灯光打在长江大桥和麦穗等物品的图形上制造剪影；同时另外4个灯光安装在天花板处向下投射，使运动的水和水中物的影子出现在幕布上。
这个幕布上的影子奖状同时也是一个剧场。观众可以参与，操纵连在木杆下的文字组合出新的词句，同时由于光源安装在对面墙上，观众在阳台上面和下面走动时，他们的身影也会落在幕布上。
一个从正面拍摄幕布，记录了观众参与的表演的录像，用电视机在幕布右侧，展厅的东面墙上展示。
开幕式时艺术家本人将在这个影子剧场里面进行15-20分钟的表演，实时摄像机拍下来的录像传输到开幕式会议厅的大屏幕上。
Diploma No.4
In the North part of the exhibition hall, there are two cement pillars with a white curtain in the middle. There are lights behind the curtain that could project objects’ shadows on the curtain, creating a diploma with Nanjing Yangtze Bridge on it. Some parts of this projecting diploma are moveable.
The projecting area is divided into three parts from the top to the bottom. Above the balcony railing of the second floor, the projecting area is mainly hanging from the top, using symmetrical red flag made of children’s clothing. The five pointed star was made of optical lenses and is turning around slowly by an autamatic motor. Moreover, the toy birds and planes were moving in circles. There are three sources of light in the opposite wall, projecting shadows on the top one-third of the curtain.
The wall besides balcony railing has six light sources. They projects objects with lifting stem and strings. The bottom is connected with scripts cut from cardboard. Those scripts come from the common words from the diploma such as “comrade ”, “study”, “progress”, “outstanding achievement”, “fight”, “praise”… etc. Those words on the pole randomly stuck in railings. At the same time, preparing more cardboards, scissors and some other tools for visitors to cut words in the scene. Visitors could move the pole just as playing Muppets. They can combine different sentences on the curtain. Their projections will appear in the central of the curtain.
The space under the balcony, near to the curtain, there’s different Nanjing Yangtze Bridges made from various wrapping paper. The opposite site of the Yangtze Bridge is actually a bookshelf. It can stores all sorts of items such as toys, small sculptures etc. The shadows of those items projected are human figures on the Yangtze Bridge. There is a row of flower pots on the ground near the curtain. The “plants” in these pots are gear wheels and wheat- patterns on the diploma. Four fish jars are placed on the base behind the bookshelf and there are living fishes, toy frogs and toy ships in the jars.
Four groups of lights are arranged to create shadows for Yangtze Bridge and other items from the opposite wall. Also other four groups of lights will be installed on the ceiling and projecting downward, so that the moving water and items in the water appear on the curtain.
This shadow of the diploma on the curtain is also a theater that visitors could participate by controlling the lifting stem to combine the words . As there are light sources on the opposite wall, when the visitors move around the balcony, their shadows will appears on the curtain.
A camera will record from the front the activities of the audience who participate. One monitor showing this video will be put on the east wall of the right side of the curtain.
The artist will have 15-20 minutes performance for the opening and to be recorded by video to show on the big screen in the conference room.
