放大的海螺。钢筋作骨架，用狭窄的钢片在骨架上覆盖，严格地模仿真实海螺内部的螺旋形结构。海螺的上半部分钢筋骨架没有完全被钢片包裹，观众可以看见其内部结构。 “大海螺”注满水；海螺内层空间中有一个由马达驱动的螺旋桨，搅动水体，使海螺内的水不断地翻滚。由于螺旋形结构的内壁渐次缓冲了水体的动能，到靠近开口处的海螺外层的水已经完全变得平静。海螺开口处的水面上漂浮着一个木制的航标灯模型。

The installation is an enlarged conch whose skeleton is made of steel rods and covered with thin steel plates. It imitates the spiral structure of the inside of a real conch. The upper half of the conch’s skeleton is not covered completely with steel plates, so viewers can see its internal structure. The internal space of the “big conch” is filled with water and there is a motor-driven propeller to stir. The spiral inner wall of the conch gradually reduces the power of water, so the surface of the water near the opening of the conch has been calm, where floats a model of a wooden beacon..
