“Paradise” and “June”

The artworks “Paradise” and “June” are two blue and white underglazed red porcelain paintings. “Paradise” is the artist's creation of six different states of the moon, with varying shades picturing different forms of the moon. It is a poetic and documentary moon, representing people's different imaginations of the moon. This has formed a direct correspondence with the “Moonlight”which lies in the viewing window.“June” is located on opposite side of “Paradise”on one wall, with the underglazed red like a flowing fire of “June.” The line “within ten steps, there must be fragrant grass”in the work seems to depict the magnificence of all things in June.

"Mind Like a Floating Wide Cloud,""Since Ancient Times, the Sea of Clouds Stretches Vast,""Winds Sweeping the Sky,""Gazing at the Floating Clouds on the Horizon," and "Heavy Wind Blowing"

The works "Mind Like a Floating Wide Cloud,""Since Ancient Times, the Sea of Clouds Stretches Vast,""Winds Sweeping the Sky,""Gazing at the Floating Clouds on the Horizon," and "Heavy Wind Blowing" are a series of porcelain paintings themed around clouds. They depict various types of clouds such as floating clouds, seas of clouds, cirrocumulus, stratus, etc. Clouds are water in a liquefied state; because the water droplets are small, they coalesce to form the clouds we see. Accompanied by words and poetry related to clouds, a poetic sentiment rises with the winds into the sky. These works, paired with the first-floor piece "The Fleeting Sculptures," form a complementary relationship, one above and one below, water and clouds, echoing the exhibition's theme of "Mirror, Flowers, Water and the Moon" through the element of water.
