文明与本能身体录像艺术录像装置
命题来自埃舍尔探讨逻辑怪圈问题的著名版画，在录像装置中左右手则分别扮演主体和客体。当右手拿砂纸打磨左手时，左手完全处于被动的物化状态，反之当左手打磨右手时也一样。另一组相似的关系是拿针尖抠另一手掌的掌纹，画外音则为算命的语音。作为这种自我分裂状态的的对比，是两只手充满自觉地互相抚摸的图像。
Esher's hands 1997
The proposition originates from one famous print of Eshel discussing the problem of strange circles. In the video, the right and left hands act as subject and object. When the right hand rubs the left hand, the left hand is in a state of total passive materialization and vice versa. The other similar relationship is that one hand is digging the palm lines of the other hand with the voiceover of fortune telling. Contrary to the self split is the image of two hands rubbing each other consciously.
