时间鸿爪雪泥录像录像装置历史和考古
黑暗屋子中的四个不同方位的录像投影。录像中是手在不断地划火柴照亮各种物品，每次划亮火柴之间的黑暗时间不等。四盘录像带分别摄自作者居住过的四个房间。福建厦门的祖宅、福建漳州的父母家。杭州、北京。
《物》力求利用难于预设的偶然性挑激进入者的即时反应，致力于营造心理互动。在不同方向和位置的屏幕中不时地擦亮的火柴，照亮了一个个曰常生活杂物，又很快地消失在黑暗中。进入黑屋子的观者不断地被无序地出现和消隐的“物”所遭遇，感受力在明暗有无的流转中活跃起来。“物”因为火柴的明灭具有了生命般的生死宿命，人与它的遇合取决于因缘际会。

The video-installation OBJECT is trying to arouse incomers' prompt reactions by the unpredictable chanciness and dedicated to create the psychological interactions. Matches are lighted ever and again on the screens of different directions and locations and trivial stuffs of daily life are illuminated and then disappear swiftly in the darkness. Incomers to the dark house experience constant and unordered appearance and vanish of the object and their reactions are made active in the switch of brightness and darkness, ens and naught. The object possesses foreordination of life and death because of the lighting and vanishing of the matches. The encounter between human and the object lies in karma and chance.
“ We only have visions and nostaglic memories of the would as it sinks into darkness. In order to experience different objects as miracles, we must hide them in darkness, and individually illuminate them. The meaning and significance of each object are enlightened in our heart, burnt by sensation. We are the fuel for burning objects, and them us. We meet at the River Heraclitus and glace towards each other. We memorize this moment, and then it melts into darkness again.”
The illumination of distant, forgotten objects are like the flashes in our collective culture memory. Here not only the artist’s personal history is sought, but also a collective longing for the past, forgotten generations and the traditions surface out of the darkness only to dissolve into oblivion after the match light fades.
