时间鸿爪雪泥录像录像装置
刘先生是北京的一个市民，某报编辑。艺术家对他—星期的日常生活进行跟踪拍摄：星期—他去买电脑配件，星期二去上班，跟朋友吃饭；星期三去打球…等等。繁琐的日常生活细节被真实地记录下来，每天的录像在一台电视机中播出。
墙上的镜框中是圣经里《创世纪》的文本，记录了神一个星期充满奇迹的创造活动。
电视中的录像不时插入一些黑白图像，这是人每天都要做的一些无意识的微小动作：揉眼睛、扣扣子、掏钥匙开门等，此时每个屏幕中是相同的图像，无声。
这件作品把平凡的生活细节提高到了与神的创世行为相提并论的地位，是禅宗的日常生活美学与基督教思想之间的对话。
Genesis and Mr. Liu's one week, video-installation 1998-99
Mr. Liu is a common Beijing resident and an editor of a newspaper. The artist video recorded his one-week daily life: he went to buy some computer units on Monday, he went to work on Tuesday and had a dinner with his friends and he went to play balls on Wednesday … etc. The trivial details of his daily life is truly recorded and the recording of his everyday life is shown on the screen.
Texts of Genesis of the Bible is framed on the wall, which recorded the God's creative work within one week.
The recorded details show on the screens are inserted with some black and white images which show the unconsciously minor actions in one's everyday life: massage one's eyes, fasten the clasps and open the door with a key etc. Every screen shows the same image silently at the moment.
This works heightens the trivial details of everyday life to the equivalent level of Genesis created by the God and it is also the dialogue between the aesthetics of everyday life in Zen and the ideology of Christianism.
