录像装置书法文字艺术
用淡墨写在白布上的书法，每块布上写的是同一个偏旁的字，如“鬼”旁的字有魂、魔、魇、魄…，“肉”旁的字有：肿、肝、胆、脱、脂、肠…，“心”旁的字有：恨、忧、恼、虑、悦、慨…就是各种心境，这些字都来自中国最早的字典《说文解字》。他们构成对于世界的分割体系，被悬挂成柱状成为人们可以穿行的建筑。对于汉语读者而言，这就如同在—个由汉字所切割和整理过的概念世界里穿行。对于非汉语读者，他能通过每个字相同的部分形状，意识到这里有着一个的系统的存在，只是他无法进入。
作为对比，一台电视机中播放着高速切换的电子英汉辞典条文，它是根据声音的顺序变化的。
Elements 1999
Calligraphy written on the white pieces of cloth in light ink. The characters written on each of the cloth possessed the same component. For example, the characters with the component of “鬼”are like 魂、魔、魇、魄…，and characters with the component of “肉”are like 肿、肝、胆、脱、脂、肠…，and component of“心”in 恨、忧、恼、虑、悦、慨…which indicates various frame of minds. All the characters derive from the dictionary of explanation of characters. They constitutes the divided systems of the world, and are hung as column architecture that can be traversed by people. To a Chinese character audience, this is like travelling in the divided and trimmed conceptual world by the Chinese characters. As for those who don't understand Chinese characters, he will realize the existence of one system according to the same component of every Chinese character while he can not enter it.
